Mary C. Williams

Mary attended Fostick Masten Vocational High School and began working for General Mills in 1969. She was named the Safety Employee of the Year in 1963 and retired from General Mills in 1965.

She has been a member of the Mary B. Talbert Civic and Cultural Club since 1985. She has served in many capacities including President, Chaplain, Correspondence Secretary and Parliamentarian, and was honored as Clubwoman of the Year in 1997. She also serves on the Budget Committee as the Treasurer of the Buffalo Region of the Empire State Federation of Women's Clubs, Inc. and was an avid supporter of the Renaissance Project, which successfully raised funds to restore the national headquarters of the National Association of Colored Womenââ?¬â?¢s Clubs, in Washington, DC.

Mary is very active in community outreach including the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs, Inc.;Northeast Federation of Women's Clubs, Inc.; and the Empire State Federation of Women's Clubs, Inc., where here most recent post is as the Statistician. She is a diligent worker in the Antioch Baptist Church of Buffalo where she has been a member for many years and enjoys being ââ?¬Å?a child of the King.ââ?¬ In her church she has been the President of the Nurses Guild; Correspondence Secretary for the Missionary Society; Sergeant-at-Arms for the Combined Choir and Senior Choir and Recording Secretary for the Sunday School. She is also on the Cornerstone Manor Advisory Board. In 1997 she received the "Woman of Excellence" Award.

Her Hobbies includes making handkerchiefs and collecting clowns. She is the wife of Henry S. Williams, Jr. and proudly boasts eight children, seventeen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
