On January 25, 2005, Barbara A. Seals Nevergold and Peggy Brooks-Bertram received the Education Award of the National Conference for Community and Justice. The presentation took place during NCCJ's 52nd Annual Sister/Brotherhood Celebration Luncheon at the Buffalo Convention Center. We are honored and pleased to have our work on the Uncrowned Queens Institute, in addition to our other educational endeavors, recognized by this venerable organization.
