Research Articles/Projects

The Uncrowned Queens Institute for Research and Education on Women, Inc. acknowledges the lives of African-American women and men whose contributions and accomplishments, largely undocumented, were instrumental in building a vital community. Our Research section focuses on providing documented articles that uncover and delineate untold or forgotten stories that contribute to regional African American history. In certain instances, this research also sets the record straight, such as authenticating the events and decisions that led to the Niagara Movement meeting in Fort Erie, Canada, and documenting the forgotten history of East Presbyterian Church.
