Mr. Dixon was a prominent photographer and for many years, was one of the Challenger newspaper staff photographers. Mr. Dixon was affectionately known as "Soap" to his close friends who had known him for many years. He was a member of the Masons.
His parents were Edward and Christina Curtis Dixon. He is the brother of another Uncrowned King, Roy Dixon.
He is buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Buffalo, NY.
