Jacqueline Bobo is a Sophomore at Nardin Academy where she is the Sophomore Class President, Secretary of the Rainbow Heritage Club and member of the Nardin Womenââ?¬â?¢s choir. She is an aspiring doctor with dreams of becoming an orthodontist or oral surgeon and eventually opening up her own dental practice.

Giving back to the community is very important to Jacqueline. She believes that it helps to build character which is why she chooses to spend time as a volunteer on the Town of Amherst Youth council. Jaccqueline was sworn in as a voting member of the council for a one-year term (2008-2009). As a Jacqueline Bobo with awardsmember of the council, Jacqueline has the opportunity to help make decisions that directly affect the youth in her community. Jacqueline is also a volunteer of Amherst Youth Engaged in Service (Y.E.S.) and gives up many of her weekend hours preparing bags at the Food Bank, helping with Habitat for Humanity and assisting the elderly in various activities at nursing homes throughout Amherst. Jacqueline has received two bronze awards (2006 & 2007) for her service and in February 2008 traveled to Albany to represent the Town of Amherst at the National Youth Leadership Conference where she had an opportunity to meet and talk with state leaders about issues concerning youth. As a member of The Chapel at Crosspoint Church, Jacqueline is very active as a Youth mentor and middle-school small group leader. In 2006 Jacqueline graduated from the Buffalo Prepââ?¬â?¢s Secondary Prep Program where she continues to be a Prep participant as well as a participant in the UB S.T.E.P. Program.

For fun, Jacqueline enjoys hanging out with friends, playing soccer and spending time with her brother Richard, her parents Michael and Lesha and their dog Dallas. Jacqueline knows that her future holds great things for her and plans to work very hard to achieve them.

ââ?¬Å?My parents always say, 'ââ?¬Å?Thereââ?¬â?¢s a time to play and a time to work. When itââ?¬â?¢s time to play...play hard, and when itââ?¬â?¢s time to workââ?¬¦work harder.' ââ?¬Å?I plan to live by those words!ââ?¬
