Robert Cornelius

Robert Cornelius graduated in 1991 from McKinley High and continued his education at Alfred University before deciding to serve his country in the United States Army. Once returning home to Buffalo, Robert had a lengthy career in retail customer service but felt a desire to serve people in a different capacity.

Robert started his journey in banking on April 5th, 2016, with First Niagara Bank as a level one customer service representative. Shortly after Robert started with First Niagara, the bank was acquired by KeyBank. With Robert's hard work, dedication, and commitment to providing excellent customer service and community outreach, on February 1, 2020, Robert was promoted to Branch Manager at KeyBank Medical Campus.

When not working, Robert is extremely active within his local community having served as a volunteer for several organizations. Robert participated in the Juneteenth Youth Committee, WUFO Radio Station Community Outreach Program, Movies in the Park at MLK Park, KeyBank Neighbors Day at the Delavan/Grider Community Center as well as speaking at Sankofa Days on the importance of developing good financial habits. Backpack give away with Drummer Work music group CEO Conway the machine and a food drive for the Town garden area where he grew up. Robert also enjoys mentoring young men and New business owners. Robert also received a proclamation from County Legislator Howard Johnson for the community work and helping small businesses. Lastly, Key Bank acknowledged Robert for his dedication to his clients and community involvement.

In his personal life, Robert is a devoted husband and father, who loves spending time with his beautiful wife Rhonda and three daughters Bre, Lacharese, and Coni. Robert is also an active member of True Bethel Baptist Church, KeyBank African American Key Business Impact and Networking Group (KBING), Buffalo Greater Niagara Partnership, and is an avid Buffalo Bills fan.
