Ronald Peoples
Born on 7-26-1933. He was accomplished in the area of Education. He later died on 4-12-2020.

Ronald Peoples was born on July 26, 1933. His parents are King and Lula Peoples. Peoples served in the United States Navy for two years and was honorably discharged. He attended the St. Cloud State College in St. Cloud, Minnesota, graduating in 1962 with a Batchelor of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education. Mr. Peoples continued his education at the State University College at Buffalo, where he earned a Master of Arts Degree in Special Education and completed a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration and Supervision at the same institution.
Mr. Peoples taught in the Buffalo Public School system for 34 years, holding positions as an elementary school teacher, special education teacher, supervisor of elementary education, director of adult basic education, and home school coordinator-community worker and counselor. Peoples has also worked as a youth guidance counselor at the Community Action Organization and as a guidance counselor, adolescent group worker and recreation program specialist at the Neighborhood House Association. He worked at the latter organization for six years.
Since 1997, he has worked as a case manager and court liaison at the Community Action Organization. In each of these positions, Mr. Peoples has a long history of service to the community, especially young people.
Mr. Peoples was a 50-year-plus member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, the Archie Hunter Foundation, The Black Educators Association, the Neighborhood House and the Retired Teachers Association. He also is a volunteer for the Buffalo Board of Education Mentoring Program, the YMCA Mentoring Program, Chapter I Parent Group, BCESA, and he coaches the Pioneer Track Club.
He has received numerous commendations for his work with youth, counseling them and being a role model for them. He is also has the distinction of being as the first black male Elementary supervisor for the City of Buffalo.
Mr. Peoples is a 60 year member of Bethel A.M.E. Church. He and his wife, Arlene, have four children and four grandchildren.
