Willie Mae Fields was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and moved to Niagara Falls, New York shortly after completing high school. She retired from the Carborundum Company in 1982 after 37 years of devoted service in the shipping department.

Mrs. Fieldsââ?¬â?¢ community service includes being a volunteer for United Way for seven years. In 1982, she was elected Worthy Matron of Paramount Chapter No. 57. From 1982 to 1983, she served as Most Ancient Matron of Esther Court No. 9. She was also named Heroine of Jericho by the Paramount Chapter.

She is the proud mother of one son, Willie B. Williams, a grandmother and a great grandmother.

Mrs. Fields is a member of the Tuscaloosa Buffalo Reunion Club, serving as second Vice President. She has served as the Financial Secretary of the Mary B. Talbert Civic and Cultural Club, and has chaired numerous committees within the club. An active member of the MacAlpine Presbyterian Church for over 20 years, she loves making people happy.
